These terms apply to driving lessons and related services provided by ACE DRIVING SCHOOL LIMITED (“we”, “us”). By booking, you agree to these terms,
which operate alongside your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA), the Fair Trading Act 1986 (FTA),
and the Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017 (CCLA).
- Standard lesson duration is typically 45–60 minutes unless otherwise stated; packages may specify different durations.
- Prices are in NZD and include GST unless stated. Payment is required when booking.
- We reserve the right to update prices at any time; confirmed bookings will not be affected.
- You may reschedule or cancel up to 24 hours before your lesson without charge.
- Cancellations or no‑shows within 24 hours may forfeit the fee or incur a reasonable cancellation charge.
- If we must cancel due to instructor illness, vehicle issues, weather or safety concerns, we will reschedule or refund at your choice.
- Lesson packages are generally valid for 100 days from purchase unless stated otherwise.
- Refunds are provided in accordance with the CGA and FTA. Outside statutory rights, refunds are at our reasonable discretion for unused lessons.
- Gift vouchers: transferable but not redeemable for cash unless required by law; validity as stated on the voucher.
- You must hold a valid NZ driver licence for the lesson type and carry it during lessons.
- You must follow instructor directions and all NZ road rules. We may end a lesson if unsafe behaviour occurs; fees may still apply.
- If using your own vehicle, it must be roadworthy, registered, and insured. You are responsible for any fines incurred due to your driving.
We take reasonable care to provide safe instruction. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the CGA or our liability for conduct that cannot be excluded under the FTA.
We are not responsible for decisions made by testing authorities (e.g., VTNZ) regarding pass/fail outcomes, test availability, or scheduling.
